The Parish Council allocates an amount of money each financial year for the purpose of providing grants to local organisations.
These criteria are used in order to be clear and transparent as to which applications the Parish Council will consider for grant aid.
These grants are made using the the Section 137 Power of local authorities to incur expenditure for certain purposes not otherwise authorised.
Using this power local authorities may , subject to the provisions of the section, incur expenditure which in their opinion is in the interests of, and will bring direct benefit to, their area or any part of it or all or some of its inhabitants.
The Grant Allocation Criteria were reviewed and approved with no changes, at the Full Council Meeting on 19th November 2018.
Financial year 2019-20 - A grant of up to £200 was agreed, but not spent during the financial year due to the Covid 19 emergency lock-down, to help fund a village Climate Emergency event.
Financial Year 2018-19 - A grant of £20.50 was made towards the WW1 commemoration event.
Financial Year 2017-18 - No grants were made.
