Sign up to the Citizens’ Panel and help improve local health services

People in Burton Overy are invited to sign up to a new online network to share their experiences of NHS services and help shape the future of local NHS services.

The NHS Citizens' Panel has been set up by local NHS organisations to gather public views and opinions on a wide variety of health topics, which will be used to help us to understand peoples' experiences and what matters most to them.

Food bank collection - 14th May

A big thank you to everyone who donated and the Dyer family who collected.

Prior to the coronavirus crisis South Leicester foodbank provided 250 packages a month but now they need 300 a WEEK.

It is intended that the food collection will happen each month during the crisis.

Plans being finalised for re-opening of seven county waste sites

The county council is putting the finishing touches to its plans to re-open seven of its recycling and household waste sites next week.

The selected sites will open seven days a week to county residents - with a booked appointment only - from Monday, 18th May. They are at Barwell, Lount, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Mountsorrel, Oadby and Whetstone.

Councils working to re-open waste sites

The city and county councils say they are working hard to re-open some of their recycling and household waste sites later this month.

Under new Government guidelines, sites can re-open for waste that can't be stored safely at home.
