BURTON OVERY NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN AREA - NOTICE OF REFERENDUM

A referendum will be held on Thursday 10th January 2019 to decide on the question below:

'Do you want Harborough District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Burton Overy to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

The hours of the poll will be 7am to 10pm

The polling station will be in the village hall, Rectory End.

Christmas Tree festival

Proceeds of this year's Festival will go to St.Andrew's Church, the Village Hall and Dementia UK, to help fund the provision of an Admiral Nurse for Leicestershire.

Opening times are

Friday 30th November - 10 am - 6.30 pm

Saturday 1st December - 10 am - 6.30 pm

Sunday 2nd December - 10 am - 5 pm.

Entry to the church is £2.50, children free, and there is no charge for entry to the village hall.

Young peoples Police and Crime Survey

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Youth Commission Members have launched a Police and Crime Survey and want to hear from young people aged 11-25 about crime and policing in their area. The information provided by young people will help to shape the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan and feedback will help to improve policies and services. LCC Snow Warden Scheme

Leicestershire County Council will be launching the snow warden scheme again this season

The pressure that severe winter conditions places on LCC resources means that they are not able to treat footways. Through the snow warden scheme support is given to local volunteers to clear footways in the local community during prolonged severe weather.
