LCC Snow Warden Scheme

Leicestershire County Council will be launching the snow warden scheme again this season

The pressure that severe winter conditions places on LCC resources means that they are not able to treat footways. Through the snow warden scheme support is given to local volunteers to clear footways in the local community during prolonged severe weather.

Kibworth Air Quality Action Plan

From 20 September to 19 November 2018

Generally the air quality in the district is good; however monitoring in the Kibworths during 2016 found levels of nitrogen dioxide which exceeded the annual mean air quality objective along a small section of the A6 Leicester Road.

Community Flood Warden - volunteer needed

Nominated volunteers sign up with Harborough District Council and become part of the Community Flood Plan for this area. Direct flood warnings are also received from the Environment Agency which can be passed to neighbours.
