January sees the launch of a new local skills exchange initiative across Leicestershire, where people help others in their community and are rewarded in return. For every hour of time you give helping someone, you receive one hour of time credit, to use on somebody helping you for an hour. This can be anything from mowing a lawn or baking a cake, to helping someone with their CV.

The Burton Overy Christmas Tree Festival 2019 will this year support a very local charity; The Well at Kibworth. The Well supports many people in the local community, including running a dementia café.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- MAYNES LANE, BURTON OVERY
A road closure is required on Maynes Lane, Burton Overy outside entrance to Old Farmhouse on the 18th October 2019 for 5 days.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate new water connection. During the closures, any alternative routes available to all traffic can be viewed at one.network and will be signed on site.
