Coronavirus support & information

Coronavirus looks likely to affect us all. But we have the wonderful privilege of living in a caring village community and between us we can make sure that no one is unsupported.

We have contact details for almost everyone in the parish now, so thank you for such a tremendous response and a particular thank you to everyone who is doing anything to make people happier and safer in the parish.

    It is important that both those helping and those being helped are aware of this protocol.

    The Parish Council insurance covers the council, councillors, the clerk, volunteers and their duties for employers' liability, personal injury and public liability subject to the insurers further advices as detailed in the document.

Deliveries currently available

Prescriptions / Medications

Helen Egerton has now kindly agreed to co-ordinate delivery of all medications for patients in Burton Overy, across all surgeries.

1. Please order your medications as usual from your surgery by telephone or online , 48 hrs in advance.

2. ONLY on the day that your medication is due for collection, please post a "request for collection" on the SUPPORT WhatsApp group. For those without Whatsapp, please get in touch with me at clerk@burtonoverypc.org.uk and I will give you Helen's email address.

3. Helen will phone the relevant pharmacy with her list each afternoon to confirm all meds are ready- you do not need to call

( If your meds are not available or ready you will receive a notification from Helen and they will be collected at the next opportunity)

4. Helen will collect and deliver directly to you. Please leave a basket on your doorstep. She will knock to alert you then leave.

Please note, all collected meds will be put directly into Helen's basket at the pharmacy and she will wear protective gloves when distributing.

As Helen says, "this will hopefully give reassurance to all and helps to reduce communications and confusion for our precious NHS staff".

Just to add ... all patients from Two shires surgery who live in BO are eligible to be dispensing patients , so if you are not already, it would be a good time to ask them to swap you over.
