Are you paying more than you need to?

The last set of Switch & Save Roadshows in November run by Citizens Advice Leicestershire was very successful.

Attendees saved an average of £288 per year on gas and electricity, while one resident was told they could save over £700 by switching to a cheaper supplier.

This year, the scope of the Roadshows is broader and includes getting the best deal on water and other household bills, and help with budgeting.. Read More »

Thefts from churches

Over the past few days there has been an increase in rural churches being targeted with lead roofs being stripped and stolen.

Specifically, there have been offences across areas such as Ashby Magna, Theddingworth, Arnesby and Peatling Parva.

The police are focusing efforts in order to try and identify those that are committing these offences but community vigilance towards any suspicious behaviour around the church is helpful.. Read More »

Bin collections

Due to the accumulation of snow in some areas of Harborough district this week, some bin collections have been affected.

Harborough District Council's bin collection crews are out today (Thurs 1st March) in some areas and will carry out scheduled collections where it is safe to do so.
